Just something quick I scribbled out between commissions.. it's been thrashing about in my head for a couple weeks and I had to let it loose x3
When I was little, I was always so upset to have been assigned as a Capricorn. I was so buggered by how a goat-fish-monster-beast was supposed to move. It can't walk or swim!!!
Mind you, I don't really follow into the whole zodiac scene, especially not horoscopes. I refuse to believe that everyone who was born within the same part of any given year are all going to have the same personalities, or have exactly the same things going on in their lives that a horoscope could apply to.
But for me, be it by coincidence or what-have-you, it seems that I am very much like the capricorn personality. Hard-working, goal-driven, resilient, stubborn to a fault.. There are very few aspects I don't identify with. Such as a need for vast wealth. I mean sure, wouldn't we all like to have obscene wealth? But I'm very much content to have enough to live off. If I can make a little extra and have some savings sitting around, that'd be good too. I also don't think myself a leader. I am a leader of my own life, but I don't feel like I should be in charge of anyone else. Nor am I mathematically inclined. I am terrible with numbers. Math should solve its own problems. Additionally, I'm not interested in status. I don't care what status anyone has, I don't care about your cars, your position in a company, or anything. I look at individual personalities, not labels or status symbols. But beyond that, I'm pretty much the workaholic hard-ass that capricorns are made out to be.
So stubborn, we capricorns defy all logic in our determination to exist, in spite of being designed against surviving anywhere. We just kind of.. flail and scoot towards our goals. BUT DAMMIT WE WILL GET THERE >:[

I love Capricorns as they should be represented. It's just an interesting creature and I rather enjoy the mythology behind it.
I was born a leo, and yet it doesn't fit completely, though combined with the Chinese wood rat(and knowing the element in the Chinese zodiac is actually very important), it balances out. I have this theory that astrology is a base, the best sense is made when you combine Eastern and Western as a mere base for a personality and realize the factors of shaping and influences with a possible touch of genetic background. But it could just be me.

This made me rofl. I totally get how that would make you feel that way. I'm Aries, so I'm just a Ram, but I do sympathize.
Horoscopes are just generalizations about people anyway. There's not too much scientific about it aside from the astrological part. Even then, science has long since vacated the horoscope scene.
