Follow your dreams. Keep at it and you'll succeed. Do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life. Talent comes to those who practice.
As most of us here probably already know - reality does not always appeal to these platitudes. No matter what you do, there will be effort required. Not everyone gets their "big break" and ends up making a difference in the world, or leaving a cultural mark, or even gets to do what they would love to be doing. The voice of those who are successful drowns out the many voices of those who have tried and failed. Sometimes a dream is just a dream - it's something to strive for. If you have nothing to strive for, you have nothing to live for. No goal or ambition to build up to. Sometimes there's content in a life without want. Oftentimes, the realities of success are invisible and not at all glamorous to experience. As Jim Carrey once said, there's an emptiness that follows achieving everything that you've ever wanted to, in life.
So don't be afraid if you don't do what you're meant to. Don't be afraid if you don't get your big break. Because the grass is always greener on the other side. You are who you are, because of what you've done up until this point. You'll find your thing. It might not be the thing you thought you wanted, but it'll be the thing that you need.
(Kind of an interesting message to accompany this picture, but it was where the stream of consciousness typing took me. Haha. I love this piece so much! It's so well done. The look, the backdrop, the outfit, the guitar. That guitar is very similar to my first irl guitar, by the way. All in all, a very wonderful piece by a talented artist).

Thank you! I’m glad it resonated with you. I like the whole ‘follow your dreams’ thing and I think it’s important for people to pursue. But not everyone has that opportunity or the talent they truly need to make it. So I end up taking a more realistic approach to things.
