the slide slugs are enemy dreamers found in the joyjoy ruins of chapter 1 of needle travels. they are a variation of the cave slugs, and like their predecessor, the cave slugs, the slide slugs are the imitation/dreamification of glue drops and other types of drops left in the unused toy room. they are quite territorial and gluttonous dreamers, preferrin' to be left alone and go 'bout their business. If the party touches one of them, a battle will begin, similar to their cave slug counterparts. after rockwell's defeat, they become NPCs within the joyjoy ruins. In later chapters, the slide slugs are found stuck to the walls of funky town, as NPCs, and also in other locations. in the anomalous route, they will ambush the party, initiatin' a battle. they do this to protect the remaining dreamers. however, they don't last lon' in combat and are killed. in the post-anomalous route of chapter 2, they are buried alongside their relatives, the cave slugs, in the old graveyard of funky town. their stats are 200 HP, 7 attack, and 0 defence. their attacks consist of drops, but they are not limited to that, they also use poisonous drops that can poison the duo if they touch them. they can also try to inhale the soul and attempt to bite them. they have an stronger variant called the thunder slug, which can be found in Chapter 2. these are a much larger variation of the cave slug, now possessin' a light purple colouration with pink and yellow spots, a much more corpulent body resemblin' a mass of slime, larger eyes, and a small, circular mouth that, when open it, revealin' sharp teeth hidden beneath its mass
