Darkblaze here with some more pony art! This piece showcases characters created by
Blazewing of which include linguist and booksmith Syntax, artifact appraiser Tough Cookie, and her niece Pastel Macaroon. Inspiration for this piece came after I came across Blazewing's story "Tough Cookie and Syntax" on FIMfiction and enjoyed the characters enough to want to commemorate them myself. A little blurb about each character featured above:
As far as adventuring duos go, none are quite so close – or as nuanced – as artifact appraiser Tough Cookie and booksmith Syntax. While Cookie’s brashness and outward confidence exudes the typical persona associated with an energetic explorer, Syntax possesses a more mellow and easy-going perspective to adventuring, taking the time needed to piece everything together. Despite encountering their fair share of obstacles together, from Cookie getting her above-average frame stuck in tight spots to Syntax’s monotonous explanations of the most minor things possible, they cherish the time spent on their excursions and would stick out for one another despite their differences. While not always along for the ride, Cookie’s niece, Pastel Macaroon, offers her own love and support for her aunt’s endeavors and enjoys spending time together as an honorary family unit.
