So like...
I couldn't decide what hair colour to go with.
So why not both?

โฆ peryton! She's half fallow deer and half kestrel
โฆ runs her own animal sanctuary and rehab center (like canon)

โฆ Despite the kind deer-like face she may have, she has to indulge in the avian side a bit more due to her species. Thus, she is an obligate carnivore. She tends to hide this from the public by only eating at home and having smoothies, tea, etc. while out and about. Her friends have gotten used to the more... exotic choice in her foodstuffs ever since dragons and griffons and other animalfolk have integrated more into equestrian society (although her feeding habits are still met with animosity by more... conservative ponyfolk).
Cutiemark colours match her coat moreso than ponies as it's not as common for non-ponyfolk to gain cutiemarks; but due to the whole Rainboom Phenomena, she gained a cutiemark just like the rest of the Mane 6. Her mark is a glowing lantern to represent how she is the light in the dark, a solid foundation during a storm, a soft bed for the weary traveler, a safe space, a--- ... you get the point.
Like Rarity, her colour scheme is pretty similar to her canon design, the colours are just hue shifted and dulled a little bit. She also kept her eye colour!!! They're just... a little brighter.
Hair/mane is only for her head since she ended up getting a deer tail for this design. She is naturally that greenish coloured for her mane, but enjoys dyeing it pink to match the rest of her. Makes her more inviting and gentle-looking to others so that she might be approached.
She used to keep her mane longer (like canon) but being outside with the animals?? Yeah she'd rather not get so many leaves and sticks caught in it so she snip-snip-snipped that length into something much more manageable. It being short also allowed her natural waviness to come back into her mane.
Due to being a peryton, she has some anatomical differences to the ponyfolk she lives amongst. Despite this, she's about the same size as an average female pony, her midsection is just a little slimmer and she's ever so slightly shorter. She sports deer ears, a deer nose/snout, front cloven deer hooves, and a deer tail. Her back legs are that of a kestrel with wings from the same- they're larger than most pegasi wings and are meant more for gliding amongst wind currents- not for speed flying or weather control.
While her species isn't rare by any means, she is the only one who resides in Ponyville's boundaries. Being a peryton, she also lacks the inner magicks that ponyfolk posses. She cannot fly on her own or cloud walk like pegasi can, but can glide longer than pegasi and has a sharper sense of sight and hearing. Also. Talons.
ALSO. Since she's a faerfolk with her peryton blood, she has the natural affinity to speak to most animals. It's not a one-to-one perfect translation that she speaks or hears, but somehow she just knows what they're saying and vice versa.
Flutter's personality is the same ol' soft spoken, gentle spirit that we all know. Still a bit of a scaredy cat at times, but mostly just from past animosity from non-faerfolk. She keeps to herself most of the time, but cherishes her friends, her animal companions, and her loved ones so, so, so much. While she runs her own sanctuary, she also volunteers at the Ponyville vet clinic because she just cares about the welfare of animal so deeply. Additionally, she collaborates with the vet to help train service and therapy animals/companions. Training sure is easy when you have an animal speech specialist, huh?
