Honestly while Ma-mow is usual source of his troubles i wouldn't be surprised if Sai also once stomped him intentionally from her own initiative considering she knows abour Marks interest about paws.

So the shrinking thing is only halfway being like Ant-man's superhuman durability and immune to fall damage but incapable of having the increased strength.
It'd be hilarious if Mark actually did have the superstrength abilities but they'd only work if he had the confidence to unlock and use them.
