Because Pokemon Day is coming up at the end of the month, I was in the mood to do a Pokemon AU thing with my boys. Heres one for Sky! Hoping to get Keith's team done by then too.

I actually wanted to set up fictional/theoretical Pokemon teams for them years ago, but at the time felt like there weren't enough choices that fit their themes. Now that theres over a thousand though, theres plenty to choose from haha. I also tried to mimic the Pokemon trainer art style a bit, so Sky looks slightly more cartoony/exaggerated than usual here. Hopefully its somewhat noticeable! It was also fun to put him in his old performers outfit again xD

For the team, I tried to pick Pokes that I felt fit his aesthetics, so heres the list!:

Mega Absol Z - Mostly for the scythe motif and demonic/emo aesthetics to match Sky's vibe haha. I imagine that this would be the Pokemon Sky would use his one chance at Mega Evolution on. Absol's also my personal 3rd favorite pokemon, but I'm... honestly not a fan of this new Mega form haha, I kinda prefer the other one.

Gogoat - Because goat, and that Sky thinks he is the goat. Also a reference to his goat fursona haha. I thought about making Sky ride his Gogoat but it looked a bit silly here. xD Although he would definitely still do it.

Meloetta - Thought this one was a good symbol for Sky's love of music. There were other "music/sound" themed Pokemon I considered, but I think Meloetta's more elegant look matched Sky's music preference and style.

Hydreigon - Another "demonic" themed Pokemon, but also wanted it to allude to Sky's more reptilian demon form. So I went with a dragon haha. Giratina was also another "demon dragon" choice I considered, but it kept reading as "centipede" to me. xD Hydreigon just matched up a bit better.

Toxtricity - A reference to Sky's past as a performer/idol as well as to match his electric guitar. Went with the Amped Up Form to match Sky's confidence haha. I did consider adding Obstagoon as another "rockstar" reference as well, but that one seems to be mostly a reference to Glam Rock/KISS, which isn't quite Sky's style.

Quaquaval - To be honest... literally just the vibes xD Ducks are also Sky's personal favorite animal (Yes, it's not goats. However, it is my personal favorite animal lol)
