Sweet Ole Boyfriends
Ship #6: Jackie the Jackal (Kim Possible) & Mean Ole Wolf (Bonkers)
Basically, what if grumpy, arrogant wrestler got with the misunderstood, equally grumpy wolf. My whole story for them starts at a wrestling show. In the ring, you have Jackie, who is now permanently in his massive jackal form and hamming it up in his role as a heel. He's working the crowd, calling people out to see who can take on the "Big Bad Jackal!". His eyes land on Abey (according to disney wiki, Abey Baby is another alias for mean old wolf. Can't really confirm that but I like it) and Jackie calls him out, calling him "shortstack" and making fun of Bonkers (who was the one who dragged Abey to this show). Abey might not be an inherenly violent guy, but he's not the type to let that one slide, especially when it comes to his friend.
He gets in the ring, and before the match really gets under way, Abey accidentally lets out one of his massive "huff and puff" sneezes and just sends Jackie flying through the wall. Oops. Later, Jackie is backstage, all bandaged up and grumbling, and Abey comes over to genuinely apologize for the sneeze. "Hey, uh... sorry about that...The huffing and puffing... it's a condition." Jackie is surprised by the apology but accepts it, but he has to get a jab in like, "I would have won if not for that cheap trick." Abey just chuckles and calls him out for being a jerk. That's pretty much where it would begin ๐
Five Random Headcanons
1. I just feel like Abey would be surprisingly good at wrestling. I can picture Jackie blushing so many times when Abey actually manages to take him down in a practice match. And in true clichรฉ fashion, I imagine their romance really sparked when they were wrestling, ended up in a compromising position with their noses touching, and just had that "oh" moment.
2. Abey is WAAAAAY shorter than Jackie, so of course, the wrestler never lets him forget it. He's always calling Abey "shortstack," "shorty," or "runt." He loves picking him up just to show that he's the "dominant" boyfriend. Abey pretends to hate it, but you know he secretly loves it.
3. Jackie has always loved flexing and popping his muscles ever since he got his jackal form, and I love the idea of Abey joining him in these "flex-offs." He might be shorter, but he's still super buff, and he's not afraid to show it.
4. While Abey wouldn't try to completely change Jackie's heel persona for the ring, he's definitely gotten the jackal to tone down his abrasive and domineering attitude in their personal life. I bet he even got him to make some kind of amends with Kim Possible and her crew. Jackie absolutely dreads the disappointed glare Abey gives him whenever he starts boasting too much or acting all high and mighty outside of a show.
5. And of course, they definitely enjoy a cup of hot cocoa together.
Ordered this commission back in December so obviously a bit late haha, but it's still sweet. Art by
