I'm sure that of all furries who looked outside in hopes they would become an animal person, maybe a handful turned into something resembling their fursona, although they would have the wrong amount of eyes and limbs. For the rest though, they probably mutated into something unrecognizable. But I'm taking it in good spirits, I still have my right arm, so I'm not gonna stop drawing furry porn!

I'd not look outside. Terrible idea, people would find the hard way a new form just means newer problems. Not that that would stop em, grass is greener on the other side of the fence. If I did look outside it'd probably end up with a combo of my sona and some sorta moonscorched effect (guess the game referenced) to put it nicely. xwx"

TL;DR: A cosmic horror appears in the sky, anyone that sees it undergoes a sudden transformation. While a small number of these are somewhat benign, the vast majority result in tons of body horror. Commonly includes having multiple new mouths, eyes, or limbs, with varying degrees of structure.
You play as a reclusive person in an apartment building during the apocalyptic times caused by this, untouched by the cosmic horror.

I thought about this, cause my building has massive plate windows in the lobby. With some advanced warning about the visitor my dumbass would put on my suit head and do my damndest to black out the windows I could on the ground floor and end up some horrid monster.
I'd at least try to look like my sona, but probably not come close to succeeding.
