๐ custom episode numbers i made to match the logo
RAHHH I LOVE THIS THUMBNAIL!!! one of my best works to date, easily!!! i knew what i was going for when i started it, mostly inspired by an early scene from the game where you drive across the desert while the sun sets and you pass these large factories. i spent lots of time looking at images of motorcycles and getting it juuust right, and MAN it paid off.
designing her motorcycle and the war-torn, blood-soaked motorcyclist version of her normal outfit was a blast. particularly proud of the idea to put her big sigil on the front of the motorcycle in place of a headlight. also love the way the loose ends of her bandages are whipping in the wind and the grim expression on her face, despite being unable to see her eyes. and the framing is just right!
what i will say is that it doesnโt quite live up to the gorgeous artstyle in the game or the promotional art. the lineart isnโt too far off, but the shading is a lot more complex than what i normally do, with a lot more layers and edge. the dust cloud effect, while i do like it, doesnโt quite fit with the style either. i also think the perspective is a bit jank, mostly due to the road getting too small too quickly as it goes into the background.
but those are all nitpicks, really! iโm still in love with the final result~
