Before Pongo and 101 Dalmatians got involved, Richard was a herding collie, guarding all the sheep in the meadow and fields, while his friends, the cows, had some quiet time in the barn. Richard is also a stately, strong, friendly and loyal collie, he used to help his canine friends when they were in need. And above all, he makes sure to be a good watchdog for everything.
