She practices the «omaticaya warrior strikes» - combat techniques passed down by the Omaticaya warriors, a tribe dwelling deep within the jungle. This is quite unusual for Metkayina, where most of her fellow tribespeople favor fluid movements in the water. By studying their styles, she aims to merge «terrestrial» strength with «aquatic» agility, crafting her own unique hybrid fighting style.
She dreams of confronting the sky people. Unlike her peaceful kin, she believes that the only way to truly understand power is to face those who command wind and gravity in battle.
For three weeks, she ventured into underwater caverns, attempting to earn the trust of the Ikran. Though the creature never yielded to her will, the experience granted her valuable insights into combining aerial and aquatic maneuvers. She did, however, successfully tame a Sguidray , proving her strength to the other male warriors.
The black vitiligo on her neck and chest is seen as a mark of the «mistress of the deep». In Metkayina tradition, skin markings are often likened to traces of the ocean's depths. While her fellow tribespeople sometimes mistake it for a tattoo, she sees it as a natural symbol of her connection to the sea, not merely an ornament.
When her hair is unbraided, the curls form a whimsical pattern reminiscent of sea foam. This can make her appear «amusing» at times, but she believes loose locks could be a distraction in battle, so she keeps them neatly braided into dreadlocks.
