Episode 5: "Treasure Island"

Context: The Pet Pals get on Treasure Island, where a parrot warns them about a gang of pirate monitor lizards there to search for Flint's legendary treasure. Since the pirates sank their plane, they decide to make them go away from the island, and for that they try to let them know the treasure isn't there anymore. Diva, after scattering some pieces of it, tries to get the attention of the biggest of them, Moe...

Season 1 of Pet Pals has the merit of creating some of the funniest and most memorable oneshot characters in the show. The monitor lizards of episode 5 are one great example of that. While their sketches aren't too funny, this scene alone makes them memorable. Little thing, the original name of the big lizard is Vincenzone, which can be translated into "Big Vincent". The other twos' names are Vincenzo (Vincent) and Vincenzino (little Vincent). In the english dub, as you may imagine, are called Eanie, Meanie and, well, Moe. The funny thing is that in season 3 there are already three characters called Eanie, Meanie and Moe 😂 (obviously in the italian version of the nursery rhime, which is "Ambarabà Ciccì Coccò"). I consider this as a proof that they never dubbed this series beyond second season (aside the movies and season 5). A real shame, since for me 3 and 4 are the best seasons 😔.

I have to be honest, these. Are hands down the worst backgrounds I ever did. This comic made me hate jungle backgrounds 🥲.
