In this short story, there are only a few characters that appear on the page.
Now you know a little more about a donkey, honey badger and striped hyena that you did not before.
This isn't the first time I've shown Bijou. Zubin is more new.
First page of the story coming this Friday. At that point I'll stitch these early pages together with prev/next.
See you then.

Goat?
I thing a good analog is to think about it this way. Sinh is Kshatruya.
Brahmins (priests/intellectuals) are considered higher than Kshatriyas (warriors/rulers).
Note that Kshatriyas are the rulers here despite not being the highest caste. They're subordinate in religious matters, though.
In this setting, there isn't just caste to contend with but also Jati as well. While Caste is general, Jati is very specific and quite regional. There are thousands of possible Jati, based on occupation of you, your parents, your tribe and local area. All this is social striation is fuzzy, sometimes bendable, sometimes breakable and often unavoidable.
Something though that's true across the globe in my comic and in our world is that social strata exists even if its never formalized. Most of us are so enculturated to it we don't give it much thought. We're familiar with it in tropes of fiction and in the real world in terms of seeing who has privilege and who doesn't.
