Georgie Gorgon: The Monster that lives under Leo's Bed
Backstory/Profile: https://coda.grammarly.com/d/Georgie-Gorgon-Profile_dqYVGNIHjOF
An ally for Leo, secondary ♂️ love 💕 interest, and another Shiro Companion who sometimes tags along with her and Leo.
• Age: 12
• Species: Bed Monster (Gorgon-lamia sub-species)
• Height: 11’2 in total
• Weights: 200
• Eye Color: Gold (Black Eyeballs)
• Horn Color: Black with pin-white stripes
• Hair Color: Cobalt blue
Scales: Mint Green/Emerald Green
Appearance:
Georgie Gorgon is a pint-sized lamia boy with pale mint-green skin, a compact upper body, and a long, muscular emerald serpent tail with a lighter, segmented belly like smooth armor plates—fully stretched, he measures 11'2" from head to tail-tip and weighs about 200 lbs. His “hair” is a wild crown of cobalt-blue snake-locks, several small serpents peeking out with sharp orange eyes, all framed by ridged, jet-black curved horns that arc back like polished obsidian. He has long pointed ears, heavy black eye-shapes with amber slit pupils, and a slightly fanged mouth that makes even a neutral expression look faintly dangerous. His hands end in thin, claw-tipped fingers, and he’s usually wrapped in an oversized burgundy sweater—cozy at first glance, until the snakes blink and you remember what he is. 🐍🖤
Backstory (How he and Leo met):Leo was eleven when he first met Georgie—woken by a dry whisper from under his bed. A pale mint-green hand slid out, followed by cobalt snake-locks, black horns, and amber slit eyes. Georgie introduced himself like a classic nightmare retold: At first, it was unnerving to have this new intruder in his bed before hearing of the very “unmonstrous” name of the Gorgon. Georgie sounds less like his own monster but an employee of sorts, tasked to do his usual rounds in the neighborhood. Leo take pause, “So are you supposed to scare me, right?” Georgie clarified, “Yeah, but I only scare the bad people.” Leo wonders to himself, then to Georgie, “Am I a bad person, Georgie?”
“No,” The Sly Gorgon under his bed stated before following up with, “But the man in your closet is.” sent Leo's blood to turn as cold as ice cubes.
A moment later, the closet door creaked open, and a would-be kidnapper stepped out with rope and gloves. Georgie went cold and precise, forcing the man to face the ugly reality of what he is dealing with, scaring the would-be predator until he collapsed in a panic. When Leo’s parents rushed in, Georgie vanished, leaving the man caught and broken by the police.
The man was babbling nonsense, about a “Monster from under the bed, who now haunts his cell at the mental asylum.” Leo was lucky; if Georgie hadn’t done the rounds, he would have been too scared of what would happen, but he owes him one.
The next night, Georgie whispered again from beneath the mattress: “Told you. I only scare the bad people.” A squashed candy bar on the nightstand became their first peace offering—and the start of a secret friendship.
A recurring ally for Leo Lion and Shiro Fox, and a secondary recurring love interest in the series.
Personality:
Georgie Gorgon is snarky by default and chill to the point of looking lazy, til he gets entertained. He’s got a black comedy sense of humor, and the shameless flair of a theatre kid who, in a heartbeat, would perform video essays about his love of fear and it as an art form. When he targets bad people, he does it creatively: taunting, riffing, dropping puns mid-panic like he’s the media-savvy horror show host. Under the smug and flirty teasing, though, Georgie’s quietly empathetic; he reads people fast, clocks what they’re feeling, and knows exactly when to soften the bite for someone who doesn’t deserve it (especially Leo). Always play things off cool to defuse tension when getting into conflict, maintaining his playful smug mask, he gets scared in his own right when he tries to scare another monster, a cryptid named ‘Darly’. He managed to escape, but was so shaken by his brief moment of helplessness that he confided in Leo about his feelings and cried comfortably in his arms.
Even though scaring evil is in his nature, Georgie treats it like a hobby, not a calling nor as part of his job, and he’s never bothered to be a superhero because, in his words, becoming a superhero to him is “a total pain” with zero payoff, itchy costumes, and way too much effort. Ironically, he loves superhero stories and shoujo romance-comedies, which makes his refusal to “go pro” even funnier. He’s bisexual, openly sweet on Leo for being cute, kindhearted, smart, and warm-and-fluffy in every way Georgie isn’t. Being cold-blooded, he’s always seeking heat—so he’ll wrap Leo up in big protective coils, tug him in for cuddles, or rope him into lazy hangouts like reading comics together, with Leo happily using Georgie’s tail like the world’s coziest beanbag chair. 🐍💚📚
His favorite personal hobby/dream is collecting boat figurines in bottles, and wish to one day become a sailor and live a quiet fisherman's life.
Georgie Gorgon — Core Power Set
• Underbed/Closet Slipspace: Can “fast travel” through a pocket Monster Realm, popping out from under beds and inside closets (and other shadowed nooks that feel like hiding places).
• Lair Logic: He can’t just appear anywhere—he needs a threshold (bed, closet, crawlspace, hamper, attic hatch, etc.). The more “childhood-fear coded” the spot, the easier it is.
• Malice Filter: His instincts lock onto harm intent—he can sense malice like heat. If you’re not dangerous, his scare drive fizzles or won’t trigger.
• Fear-Reading (Low-Key Psychic): He can quickly deduce your biggest fear (or the fear you’re suppressing hardest) and tailor his approach.
• Adaptive Horror Shifting: Limited shapeshifting of face/eyes/limbs/silhouette to match the target’s fear; more “stage makeup + nightmare angles” than full-body redesign.
• Mental Petrification: Instead of turning you to stone, he can scare a guilty person into a frozen, non-functional state (panic lock, catatonia, dissociation, confession spiral, whatever makes you suck on your thumb like a baby the quickest).
• Truth-Tremor: His presence makes liars trip over their own story—not mind control, just a pressure that collapses self-deception.
Coil Guard: His tail can form a protective ring, serving as a decent shield in a fight.
Name-Binding: If he learns your full name, he can find your hiding places more easily (mythic, creepy, but not omnipotent).Mirror Curse Lite: Mirrors/reflective surfaces near him become untrustworthy (showing guilt-fantasies, not random horror).
Base Gorgon Abilities:
• Petrifying Gaze (Nonlethal Variant): A focused stare can induce temporary paralysis or “stone-still” rigidity—strongest on the malicious, weaker on innocents.
• Serpents as Sensory Antennae: The snake-locks can track movement, taste fear/chemicals, and watch multiple angles at once.
• Venomous Bite (Optional, Low Use): Classic gorgon danger—could be sedative rather than lethal, used as a last resort.
• Scale-Skin Resilience: Tougher-than-human durability (not invincible), especially against blunt force.
Weaknesses
• Cold-Blooded Constraint: Cold environments slow him down; he needs warmth to stay sharp and strong.
• Daylight Dilution: Bright daylight or “safe vibes” weaken his Monster Realm access—night/quiet makes him stronger.
• Salt / Iron / Warding Symbols: Traditional folklore defenses: salt lines, cold iron, and protective charms can block his doorway travel.
