Here is another pic of one of my 5 gasoline blowtorches.
Only 3 of them are functional and one is never going to be used because I didn't like how it was manufactured.
I really like using this thing for a lot of stuff in the shop. It holds 1 quart of gasoline and burns hot and roars loudly when in use. It's supposed to be used in tandem with a soldering bit, which would hang off the front support and the hook on top.
This one is a recent acquisition and was restored. It runs better than one of my previous torches of the same make and model. I had to replace the little leather that was in the check valve for it and it works great now.
The check valve is situated inside of a hand pump that is used to pump air into the fuel tank, pressurizing it. If the check valve is no good, gasoline will flood into the pump and spray out during use.
As you can see it has a very nice ghostly blue flame.
