Nay! It's more Slay the Spire meets FTL, as a roguelike deckbuilder; you pick three crew at the start of a run, and navigate your way through dangers sectors of space as you try to find a way to escape an anomaly that has you all in a time loop. The different crew give you different pools of cards and abilities to draft from as you go.
The big thing it has going for it over StS, for me, is the positioning of your ship versus your enemy - movement allows you to line up your cannons with enemy weak points, dodge attacks (or at least make their shots hit heavily-armored bits of your ship), and get asteroids, mines and drones in the way between the two of you.
