Introducing Joules, Captain Wayne's very loyal and dedicated first mate. She is often around to help her captain through any stormy weather and keep their crew in line, not just that, but she is possibly the second most deadly force of nature to be reckoned with. Joules got her name for a reason for she can produce very powerful beams of electricity from her very hands and can manipulate it in any way she chooses. From transferring it to taking it, as well as making metalic objects move with her Electrokinesis. Joules always weilds her trusty pure steel battle shield she uses to protect herself or others, but to slice through anything or decapitate her foes, she can even ride on it to get to places faster.

How Joules came to be was both a cruel and sorry tale, for she came from a labatory and for as long as she could remember is that she receives daily electric shock therapy while being inside a large water tank where wires were attached to her and had heavy metal bindings that held her in place, she was named " Subject J-301 " by her creators and was a living power source to the laboratory that was underneath a factory. The only company she had and considered friends were two sea animal mutants that were held within their own separate cells, a large sea lion, and a scrawny cat fish hybrid. They would speak to her frequently and sang lullaby songs to her to help her sleep. She grew to care about them very deeply and had found comfort in their company, keeping her from becoming very lonely in her watery imprisonment.

Her years of imprisonment grew too unbearable to stand until one fateful day where her only two companions were planned to be euthanized for they became too defiant to be controlled any longer or thier purposes ran its course, caused her to use all of her power that had been building up within herself to break out of her containment by overloading the power, destroying everything from her wrath. She freed and took her sea companions, and all three escaped through the window, then into the waters where they swam into the deep depths of the ocean that were their only sanctuary. All of them found a deep underwater cave and hid in it as they made it their home. Her sea companions go on hunt for food while she stays back, afraid to go out into the world and never wishing to be found by her creators.

However, her condition begins to deteriorate as the binds around her wrists, ankles and neck heavily dug deep within her flesh, giving way to infection, causing her to stop eating as a result. She became very sickly, was only skin and bones by the end of it, and she would have been in Davy Jone's locker if not for someone that came to her aid. One of her sea companions ended up stealing fish from the legendary sea captain himself, Captain Wayne, who had followed them back to their cave to discover her in such a sorry state. He first befriended and tamed her companions by feeding them sardines before he checks on her condition and then to bring her back to his ship. He removed her bindings as carefully as possible, cleaned her wounds, and then bandaged her up.

Captain wayne took her and the others back to his adoptive father's home to seek his adoptive father's help, treating her infected wounds, and slowly nursed her back to health. Throughout her recovery, her two sea companions were always closed by and kept her company. Captain Wayne was the most close by as he would watch over her throughout many nights, telling her sea tales or to just help get books for her to read. Eventually, she gained enough healthy weight, and her wounds were healed. Captain Wayne takes her out to some beach walks so she can get out of the house and get fresh air, but he would learn more about her as she became comfortable enough to talk about a small part of her past.

Wayne soon learned about her terrible origins, although only a small part of it, for she suffered a form of amnesia that prevented her from remembering any kind of important details but that it brings her a lot of pain when bringing it up. When he realized that she didn't have a proper name, he'd decide to give her a new name that she liked. After a few name suggestions that she didn't like, one word came in mind that could work as a name... Joules, she took the name as her own, for she liked it very much. Captain Wayne saw a lot of potential in her, for she did have a great deal of unique abilities, and Joules was determined to come with him on his sea travels with her sea companions alongside her as they become the deckhand on the S.S. Salty.

Joules was at first the same rank as her sea companions and had trained a lot under the Captain as she learned to stand on her sea legs, learned how to fight and able to do most of the tasks at hand. Her greatest qualities were multitasking and keeping her sea companions in line, now with new names, " Whiskers and Sweets. " Joules became stronger and more skilled , and soon enough, she was able to take over the S.S. Salty when Captain Wayne got injured and needed to recover. Joules was given the rank of First Mate by him after he healed and swore in an sailor's promise to always have eachothers backs, and the rest is history as she sailed with her captain through the seven and in the half seas together with their crew.
