It's kind of funny to think that way back when I originally designed this species, they were just gonna be like ordinary skinny wolf guys, but then I drew one a single doodle of mal (the shapeshifter) as one with a big butt and then I found myself thinking, "what if they all had big butts" and now the whole species is pear shaped.
