I can't explain why this particular project is the one that grew into a behemoth, but it helped me survive a stressful month, so that was a happy accident. It's ironic, back in November I tried to do a novel-in-a-month challenge with a personal project. Out of my goal of 50,000 words for the month, I made it to 36,000 words before running out of steam. Well, this month I wrote Shooting for the Stars, four installments of The Leftovers, and a personal side piece I'll probably upload over the weekend. In this month of January, I wrote 70,000 words... The Leftovers accounts for 53,000 of that, which means that this series is technically a novel...xD That's wild...
