Intersex is a fairly broad term. As well as "we just don't know what to assign this baby at birth", the umbrella can include things like chromosomal variations (eg XYY or XXY instead of XY) that may not be picked up on until later. Said to be about 2% of the worlds' population, which doesn't sound like much but is similar to the amount of redheads. Drew some alternate views of the character, including them as a caterpillar and them without the hoodie and glasses. They're intended for the Connie and the Essence of Chaos setting, an indiegame that has a demo out thus far.

A gynandromorph is a genetic chimera displaying phenotypes of two sexes, most notable in species with sexual dimorphism. These can be bilateral (the striking asymmetrical appearance) or mosaic.

Butterflies feature heavily in intersex pride pins for their striking silhouettes. The phenomena has also been seen in moths, crustaceans, spiders, ticks, multiple insects, lizards, snakes, some rodents and birds.
