COMMISSIONS: Dainai Pencils
My last few commissioners that are still waiting patiently on their commissions are all receiving freebies alongside their original commissioned work to thank them for being so patient while I went through surgery on my drawing arm and other life woes.
Anyway, these are the pencils that are the freebie for mavrik, of his harem/thief fox girl, Dainai, while I am finishing up coloring his main commission. This will be transfered soon and colored by marker ( I'm slower at digital coloring ). I chose Dainai out of his 3 characters because she'll be fun to color- she has very vibrant, exotic colors and a fun design. mavrik has created easily some of the most fun, entertaining characters I have seen in this fandom in a long time.

Thank you very much, and I really take your comment as a great compliment. I joined the fandom and started sharing art back in 1995, when the fandom used to be more about appreciating art. Now it's more about who can be the biggest drama-whore and be the loudest.
I really strive to just concentrate on continuing on in my own direction- focusing on trying to become a better artist and trying to produce decent art. So if people like you take notice of that, then it means I am on the right track and I really appreciate it.

Ooooo, and I thought it looked better in a "rougher" stage this morning! I really like the position you picked for her far arm, and, for some reason, the expression looks even more sultry now that the linework is firmed up a bit. Looks like she's saying "nah, I don't think you'll be gettin' your money back *thbbbbbbbpptttt*!"
I agree with you on his characters. They are original but also straightforward enough that you pretty much know the gist of them from their designs.

This post was the highlight to an otherwise very crappy day! 1st off, you're recovering and feeling better! Then, this shows up! You do an amazing job of capturing Dainai's personality in the visual sense that I can only do in a narrative sense. It's extremely fun to just sit back and laugh as I contemplate what's running through her head. Thanks a ton for going out of your way to do these freebies. I'm sure all your commissioners appreciate it, and don't worry,my patience (or forgetfulness XP) is endless. I'm glad to hear you're feeling better, and thanks again.

It's the least I can do to thank you for your ever-lasting patience whilst several of life's inconvenient roadblocks slowed down my ability to produce art. I'm glad you enjoy the sketch- I tried to capture Dainai's temptress exterior with her fun attitude and her passion for valuables. This is almost completely in color now, and will be uploaded soon ^^
First off, good to hear the surgery went well, and I'm glad you're recovering from it so well. As for the picture? Love the expression. Dunno why. I'm not really sure if she's being playful, sarcastic, or tryin' to piss someone off just off camera or something, but I like it. I'm no art critic, but I know what I like, and this got a grin out of me.
