Here is his explaination for the theme:
From the Mouth of the South Himself: I apparently hallucinated and thought I'd seen a gift pic or commission of Ally somewhere with a bell tied to her tail... this came up because of a commission I'm still putting together for her where I drew it in, but she liked it anyways, so it then gave me an idea: Love Ribbons! And, I can only hope, a meme is born. ;p Or something.
...The sad part is, he probably DOES like it. xD LOVE RIBBONS FOR EVERYBODY!
