A female canarduck with her pair of canetots, who appear to have made friends with a quactice. Canarducks have strong maternal instincts and sometimes adopt other waterfowl pokemon like duckletts, gozzles, young farfetch'd, and even psyducks.
Canetot, the duckling pokemon
Canetot is a small water-type pokemon from the Ronto region. These chubby, fluffy pokemon are pleasingly round and are beloved by children. They are clumsy on land but are surprisingly efficient swimmers, easily able to keep pace with their parents. They will imprint on the first creature taller than themselves that they see, so canarducks raise them in secluded areas until they have fully imprinted. They need to stick close to their parents because they are defenseless, bite-sized morsels - muskelogs in particular eat them like popcorn. Canetot evolves into canarduck at level 15.
Quactice, the target pokemon
Quactice is a small grass-type pokemon from the Ronto region. These pokemon were once used to train hunters and their pokemon partners for stealth and accuracy, being deceptively agile and very alert to sounds and movement. This practice has mostly fallen out of favour these days, and so wild quactice idle around lakes, ponds, and occasionally bathtubs. With no purpose among humans, they sometimes get up to mischief like hiding themselves in apartments, floating en masse down unsuspecting waterways, or insinuating themselves in groups of canetots. Trainers report that they are very good listeners, and having a quactice around to bounce ideas off of is standard office policy in many Rontonian tech firms.
