The reason for the phrase "me-ow".
Way back in the distant mists of 2009, I was going to do a storybook/comic set in Rapture (from the Bioshock games) and starring anthro cats. It just seemed like the natural thing to do. If you've never played Bioshock, I'll clarify that Jasmine Jolene is a hooker who [spoiler spoiler] for [spoiler], resulting in [spoiler] and one of the big twists of the game. She doesn't get a lot of screentime in the game, but I wanted her to have a relatively big part in my story. And not just because she's easy on the eyes.
The $2-an-hour thing is an in-joke which isn't funny enough to merit all the explanation it would take.
I don't have many pictures from this project that I'm happy enough with to upload, but this is one of them. The project was my first time playing with this colouring style (no outlines, lots of detail in the shading/highlights). I've refined it since, but anyway you've all stopped reading the author's comment by now.
