"I have always wanted to say that I painted an entire world by hand, and, now I finally can say its done it =^^= yays! <3 doing it by hand makes every bit unique and you make everything with love and care, it feels natural and believable and recognizable. random generators today just cant do this.
i need to do ice sheets now for the north and south poles, but those are seasonal things.
This took me about 1.3 years to paint completely by hand. but I am very happy = ) I didn't paint the clouds though, just the land and the bump map with specularity for space engine. My textures are 8192x4096. I think that is the max resolution i will do for now. any more and it will take me 4x longer to do, and I'm just not into that. Besides I don't think my computer can do anything larger anyway. I got to do the rest of the solar system now = )
Oesha is the main world for my Moonsides universe. It is a moon of a large gas giant planet named Jeulio (you can see ring shadows and Jeulio's cloud tops in the top image."
