The planar region "Helder" as previously seen in this submission here and also shown in this image from within the space itself
done up using lamp pitch and red iron oxide ochre on 16"x23" vellum
GENUINELY so nice to be able to pull out a physical canon prop and just enjoy all the little nooks when Im not fighting with inkbleed
But yes this required basically 100% concentration for the entire time I was doing it, my neck / brain / eyes / hand hurt lol

I'd absolutely ADORE making these for people's D&D games, ngl~
They're just so time consuming / expensive materials I dont know what RP group is serious enough about their world to go in on one, considering the price I'd have to charge
Additionally to what you see there, too;
I planned on a brown or black tanned leather backing, sewn into the vellum map itself using silver wire thread, and then branded with a symbol of the Luminaries (heldarii) and then bound with twine, flax, or sinew-- and embellished with gold or silver leaf. @w@
Mine's gonna be a prop intended for wear-and-tear but I can absolutely see someone framing something like this on a wall :D
Either way THANK YOU

Oh yeah, I cannot imagine these would be cheap. But I can really see some DM with a really invested group pulling one out at the table and everyone just going wild for it! Such dedicated tables are rare, but they exist, I know it.
And oh my god; you're planning on brown leather backing, and vellum, and silver wire thread and so much more and you're planning on using it for wear and tear??? I admire your practicality, but also I would frame that up high in a steel display box so the world couldn't touch such craftsmanship! It will look so awesome when you're done!
