haiiiiiii :3 I've got a show idea ive been thinking about for almost two years now and i wanted to see what other people think about it, and would like to hear any tips on how to make it better.
The placeholder name is Mysticritters, but this could change if i think of something better. The plot is about three mythical creatures that came to earth from other dimensions and now live in the forest in an abandoned dirty crackhouse cabin they found as they goof off and occasionally try to find ways to get back home.
Jackie the jackalope is the childlike hyperactive one who always gets the gang into some insane situation just by messing around and finding out. Kat the kitsune is the most sensible one and the only one with actual magic powers and the one that usually gets everybody out of trouble, but isnt all serious because shes also a huge nerd. she can also shapeshift into a human, which she does so she doesnt get caught in public as a mythical being. Chewy the chupacabra is the big lovable idiot who may not have brains or brawn but is just the goofiest goober of all time and is nice to everybody.
The three bicker with each other a lot but know they cant leave each other behind because theyd never make it on their own. They usually just run into one off silly monsters akin to regular show or aqua teen, but theres a couple other recurring characters like Rocky the raccoon whos high as hell and the only other animal they trust to not reveal their existence, and Kat's human friend Melody who works at a milkshake store they hang out at.
Every episode has a simple plot of the gang coming into contact with another magical thing (mostly jackies fault they even come around), but twisted to something you wouldnt expect like stealing the last of the endangered species of Unisaurs just to win a horse race, slaying an evil dragon to make a delicious taco, finding a camera that traps peoples souls inside when it takes pictures and going through dimensions through a fast food to-go box.
Most elements are influenced by my general interests in animals and myths and just cartoons i used to watch as a kid (specifically our own canadian "beaverslop" i was subjected to), and the tone would be like early gravity falls but cute. I also want to try to make it feel as cozy as possible like a big warm blanket and hot cocoa but as a cartoon, if that makes sense.
Don't expect this to come out any time real soon, but maybe one dayyyyy
