I've been meaning to make ref sheets for my OTP's disguise self variants for a while but Alexus' was daunting because, you know, six-limbed avian shenanigans. Still, I think I like how this came out for now so we'll call it done, even if the browns got a little weird in places in between my iPad and my computer, heh. Tooooo lazy to try and fix it!

Unlike Mephala/Fish, Aarik was never a real person, so there's no risk of Alexus being recognized as someone he isn't. Aarik is loosely based on a chukar partridge (or more accurately and in-character, based on an owl familiar whose colouration was originally loosely based on a chukar) but Alexus doesn't have a great eye for detail, so there's plenty of wiggle room in head/beak shape and there's bound to be some variation in look between Disguise Self casts.

I still haven't actually designed Alexus/Aarik a practical outfit for the fact that he's got wings now, so we're pretending that it's practical to wear a vest with an extra set of gigantic shoulderblades in the way, heh. Some day I'll get around to that.
