With year of the horse upon us and me always looking at some older characters that need spotlighting or updating, it was perfect timing for the shaded wizard Ghran Nightmare to make a comeback and show off his “villainous” magics, as who doesn't like encountering a hovering buff a war-wizard covertly looking for components and artifacts in the depths of a guarded forest. Plus I totally wanted to try some more villainy, hovering lineless background and perspective stuff while giving a glow up to an old OC!
Without disturbing a single leaf or blade of grass Ghran Nightmare the dark wizard hovers along an old walled path as he covertly slinks deeper into The Old Growth forest hoping to avoid its protectors as he scours for artifacts to assist him... his feet dangle above the dirt as he dares not alert Eschwould or Trenell or even that kobld Pindo, he has tangled with the heroes before and would prefer to not tussle with them right now as even the dark wizards need a calm “walk” now and then, his shadre flame flickers as it picks up lingering energy shifting his gaze to the wall.
There we go, love being able to give some context and lore a5round the sketch also added in a bit more backstory to tie the new Ghran in with a few other characters, as yeah had that idea for a while. Also fun to slip into a villain roll, even if its kind of '80's saturday morning cartoon, for a bit and think of his motivations and some abilities he might have. Overall I like how this all came together and the glow up it Ghran's outfit really gives that extra bit of power to him and perhaps hides another “weapon” he wields >:3
But yeah gonna be trying to keep on experimenting and stuff as the lineless background came out looking pretty slick so far, for now enjoy peeps!

Love this new debut of his appearance and name! God, he's just absolutely full of that "sexy villlain" swagger, that lazy hover as those dark eyes stare at everything and nothing all at once. I could probably help him locate an artifact or two. >:3

Dawww thanks so much again for the wonderful encouraging comment and mmmmhhhmmm that he is full of all that and full of himself too and fantastic to know I got that sexy swagger portrayed with that hover and pose as rrriiiiggghhttt him just needing to put so little in to hover really feels like is capable of so much and oooo I do love how you said that with the eyes looking at nothing and everything at once, gonna have to totally "steal" that statement >:D
