Though the so-called micros were discovered on what seemed like a long-deserted island, they suddenly spread throughout the empire. Taking advantage of their size, they inhabit walls without permission and steal food. This is also why they are considered strange pests. Only some appreciate their size and use their services.
Mrs. Cocker is one of the few ladies who takes advantage of them, providing them with the bare minimum of living requirements.
Here, however, we see the poor micros who, while cleaning their mistress's shoes, didn't expect her to wake up early and driven by old habit she put on her shoes without thinking. Throughout the hot day, Mrs. Cocker wondered why her paws were sweating so much.
