I'd never taken night photos in black and white, until I saw

They come out at night? Before the moon. =3 I started this between the point that the horizon is barely glowing from sunset, and when the moon starts to rise.

the Earth moves and, as a result, stars look like they rotate in the sky over loooong times..so that's actually the stars "moving" ^^ Yay for astronomy classes -_-^^

If you frame the north start (currently Polaris) it won't move from our rotation, unlike everything else around it. Its really just a matter of finding her, and exposing for as long as lighting conditions will allow (or your battery) >.>

I had the though to stop the exposure and put the north start right on her fingertip, but I was already a good 12 minutes into the exposure, and my battery wasn't very well charged. Next time!

Dijital! Just find the north star, and take a loooong exposure to see the stars trail around it. Then you win.
