This is probably something out of a specific post apocalyptic scenario, where technology kinda goes backwards rather than forward. Basically misuse everything possible, because people don't know any better. Actually just imagine the current generation, that barely manages to keep their attention for 6 seconds and uses AI for literally everything instead of thinking for themselves but all of this in a post apocalyptic world. Though this might even be a bit too advanced of a construction as well then.
