It has a few oopies but I think it looks pretty good
It's taboo to be Alaskan and like the movie Balto lmao but I can't help it, I looove the animation and this movie shaped my art style as a kid so this was super nostalgic and fun to draw! I'm also working on the white wolf one

AWW they are SO CUTE! You did a great job with these two :D I love Star's goofball face haha, and Kaltag looks like such a hunk. Thanks for taking on my request! Lol, is it really bad to like Balto as an Alaskan?? It's such a fun movie, and I also adore the animation, it's some of my favorite from that time.

Hehe naw it's not truly bad to like Balto as an Alaskan. But every Alaskan I met hated this movie lol it's unfortunate cuz it's such a good movie, it's only flaw is being wildly inaccurate. Which you have to expect for a kids movie. I think I've met so many people who take it personally because I live here and we have the Balto history ingrained in our heads lol so we're all kinda like "it didn't happen that way" haha
But I appreciate it nonetheless. I remember my friend from Oregon being really disappointed when he saw a picture of irl Balto 😂

I did see the PBS show Molly of Denali had an episode about Balto, but it was the RL Balto.
The movie led me to the furry fandom! Of that I'm eternally grateful ^_^

This movie lead me to the furry fandom as well, this and the lion king fan websites haha. It was my earliest furry experience x3
Yeah, I was half joking when I said it's taboo but most Alaskans don't like this movie and made me feel bad for liking it when I was younger but now I think that's silly

TBH you have to put the movie into perspective.
It is all about RL Rosy telling her granddaughter the story.
Of course, she can embellish it anyway she wants! Its her perspective of what happened when she was a little girl ^_^
I know the RL story of Balto had controversy as the owner of Balto, Leonhard Seppala, felt his favorite dog Togo should have gotten all the fame and glory and was upset that Balto got paraded around with the idea that only one dog (or dog team) saved Nome.
