Winter is pretty - if you don't have to drive in it. Lovely and peaceful, really. Waaayyy in the back, you can see the chicken coop. They birds have heated roosts and nesting boxes. They don't seem to mind the cold. They have a snug little house they can cozy into. It has heat lamps, so they're fine. In the Winter, you can see all the tracks of various critters and cats who have come by to see the chickens. The coop is fortified metal and heavy-duty fencing to keep the birds safe. We have seen tracks of deer, foxes, birds, rabbits and many cats in the snow.
