Love the idea of a queer twist of it. Most of the characters in the book come and go and are never seen again, so there’s potential of relationships in a retelling which doesn’t happen, so that’s cool.

You also won’t be surprised to learn that the Cheshire Cat is my spirit animal, both cute and creepy at the same time. The other top character for me is the caterpillar, he just has a cool look, vibing with his hookah pipe and not doing people at all. I’m such a bookworm so I know that feeling.
dude i feel that. I made this project because I felt like there was so much potential for a queer found family dynamic. they're already queer in terms of their literal identities within the book, so it's barely a leap to think, in a slightly more modern context, they would be extremely relatable to queer folks. im v excited to get into the lore.
