Morte – The Assassin

This drawing from 2001 marks a turning point for me…
I showed it to a friend and received very harsh, negative feedback. He didn’t hold back in saying how bad the drawing was.
That weighed heavily on me…
I thought about quitting drawing and felt really down for a few days.

I picked up the drawing, studied it, and realized that the mistakes he pointed out were indeed there…
I swallowed my pride and decided to study anatomy and other art fundamentals.
