This year has taken a toll on me.
I have received a lot of bad news, especially health-wise and for my husband's health as well. The state keeps saying that my handicap is recognized, but whenever I need help regarding it, I'm answered that no, it's not recognized. I'm battling against institutions to get the rights I deserve, but it feels like trying to climb a mountain without legs.
The formation I was working hard to obtain also simply vanished in thin air as I was doing everything to complete it, and we don't know why. Right now Im' just waiting for an explanation on what happened, and the wait is painful.
For the good news, I have removed a narcissist person from my life. There is thus less toxicity and anxiety in my daily life, which is good. I also celebrate two years of life with a cat, and let me tell you, Ta-miu is the greatest gift one could have received, because she's the sweetest animal in the world! She's full of love, sleeps with us, and showers us with kisses and hugs (sometimes she farts on me but that's really the worst she does.)
I also feel really proud of what I've done with my body. My legs are so muscular!!! They're so strong I think I could replicate those videos where girls smash a watermelon between their thighs, I swear. And my abs!! Strong as iron and beautiful, I can take punches in my belly and still hold (I tested.) My butt is nice I well, I'm proud walking in the street eheh. My arms and shoulders are those of a 5yo child tho, getting them strong too is my goal for 2026. Unfortunately, drawing doesn't make them very muscular pfff
Art-wise, I deplore the fact that I couldn't draw as much as I wanted to - even though I drew a little more than last year. I still use bases a lot, but I find the use of bases so comforting, since it allows me to draw even when I don't have the energy to; I think that's acceptable.
I have been wanting to draw with more blue - since I struggle with this color for some reason - and I think I have achieved this goal. I tend more to light blue, turquoise and cyan than darker shades but that's a start. I have discovered an artist I love who is François Baranger, he illustrated Lovecraft books and it's definitely worth a look!! His website for reference: https://francois-baranger.com/ He's my new favorite artist!! I own two of the books he illustrated so far and I definitely plan to acquire more. He works with a lot of blue and teal and it's a true inspiration for my "blue struggle" ahah
