I had an Alphys-like teacher in middle school. She taught lit instead of sci, but the personality was there. Not the neurotic side of Alphys, but the enthusiastic side. We used to nerd out on X-Files lore. It ruled.
Edit/Note: Her Deltarune duds kinda remind me of Daria. Except for the tie. That makes me think "Black Mesa scientist." And brown instead of black, so I guess it's mostly the green part of her color scheme. Technically, Sans is more Daria-like. Just swap sarcasm for pun-based humor.
