perhaps you could make a sort of hexagonal industrial housing, i think it would feel quite alien to us i haven't found a good concept art for it but this 1960's video mentions this sort of housing (and just shows us some hexagonal sand lol)

Well for most alien races I already have a subtle idea of what their traditional housing looks like.
But I could see this added on for the Synthian faction Basflima, they have tall white spires on their planet discs, maybe they're sort of hexagonal at the base and clustered together? Tapering as it goes upwards, idk
Or maybe demonoid/primordial housing
