Ash as a domestic for funsies
For the unitiated, in my furryverse theres the domestic furries (dogs, livestock, red foxes) who are very human-like, they are bipeds, same tastebuds, see the same colors, same sense, etc
and theres the wildborn, who are the furry races who have more "wild" instincts, usually they live out of urban areas and depend on their instincts to survive. their integration into society has been cause by the colonization and destruction of their habitats
oc exercise of today has been to turn a wildborn into a domestic or vice and versa, I had some help from my server with Ash. All arctic foxes are/descended from native communities and they are known to form underground colonies around whale carcasses (a holy animal for them) or nomadic groups who follow the lead of a polar bear (also, a holy animal for them)
I initially wanted some sort of livestock animal for her, but you could probably guess that raising livestock in the arctic is a bit difficult, thats when someone suggested i should look into fishing dogs or bear hunting dogs or indigenous bred dogs until we landed on the one for Ash; the Norwegian elkhound, but karelians and samoyeds were a close second
