Here my childhood I lived from 1997 to 2008. Now I live in Barrie. But I spent most of childhood in Toronto.

I don't know if you'd get this, but it looks like The Talking Heads have been there. (Note the upturned chair.)
Hey, I know what you mean. The house I spent my boyhood in Azusa still stands, but it's not my home any more. I often wonder and dream about going back inside just to see how things have changed. Perhaps reconnect with some of the creative energies I left behind. Still... that place is like 500 miles away now, and I don't think I'll ever go back. Besides, the greedy land developers are bulldozing the properties in my old neighborhood as fast as folks vacate the old houses. I'll more than likely go back and find only the streets remain.

Well, hopefully you'll understand one day that houses and such are just "Things," and they only mean anything to people who've been around them for some time. The emotional attachment to an old house, a steam locomotive, railcar, vintage airplane, automobile, or even a steamship preserved in a museum stems from the fact that these things are preserved not only as a lesson in History, but also because the items mean so much to others who had used similar things in their past.
