The first time I designed a CD label for someone else was this one, for Kevin Daune's "Stripe Tease" collection. The design is mine. I think I suggested a type face as well, but this was as close as he could get. (Not really very close, but it was okay.)
As for the collection... well... it wsa a prety mixed bag, as all Kevin's disks were. He seemed to believe that the technology should be used to its maximum potential, and crammed as much art on the disks as he could. The problem was that there wasn't actually enough decent art available to be that indiscriminate, and all Kevin did was add to the royalties he had to pay on each disk. Ultimately, the march of technology, his own misjudgements, and the easy of digital piracy put an end his dreams of domination of furry fandom.

I'd like to think that apart from my work, most of Kevin's CD's were ****. That's assuming you weren't giving them four stars, but meant s--t. I don't know why. I argued with Kevin over and over, but he was determined to pack as much into those things as he possibly could, regardless of quality, or the fact that he ran up his debts to the artists. My best guess relates to my guess about why he produced CD's at all. I think it was just an excuse to get people send him as much pornography as possible, and in a way that he could *say* was just business. Although he liked to think of himself as a scientistically minded and creatively inclined individual, I don't think I've ever met someone who was ruled by the nether parts of his anatomy as much as Kevin.
I mean that in a goood way of course.
