Yes, I graduated in July 2023, but college in Mexico works in a funny way. When you finish all semesters, you become a graduate (pasante), they give you your certificate. But in reality you aren’t really a professional yet, so in order for the Education Department to recognise your degree, your college has to certify that you can get it in a process called titulación. In my college, you can get it in either of these ways:
- High grades
- Thesis
- If you start a Masters program, halfway through you get it automatically.
- Paid seminars
- Unpaid internships
- Group project
Once you do any of those, plus:
- Having a B2 English level
- Worked an unpaid internship in a government dependency
- Having made extracurricular activities
You can finally start the paperwork for you actual legally valid degree.
My only option at this point is a paid seminar, so I enrolled in one.
So, if you want to help, commissions are always open, DM if interested!
