Jackal Cavalry Tank, 90mm Main Gun, 1x 30-06 Co-axial Machine gun, 1x 30-06 Pintle mount Machine gun
"When development of the Leopard Main battle tank had reached completion, the Older Jackal Chassis had only been in service as the primary East Carcosan tank for a short 6 Years. With around 350 Hulls produced, the Jackal proved to be outdated soon after the first chassis rolled off the production line. While a quick tank, it's 90mm Main gun proved ineffective against the latest NFTA Armor from the front. It was by recommendation of Colonel-General Clingan Jo'stitsija that the Jackal was sent to replace aging light tanks within the Recon Corps of the Army. As Advances to the Leapord were developed, many would also be transfered to the Jackal, including Passive night vision and the "Shimmer" Thermal Viewer, Coincidence finders, aswell as a HEATFS Shell. Most of these upgrade packages were handed out peacemeal as additional and extra components were available. The Jackal 1A1A3 would be the latest model by the Mid Summer Conflict of PT 73, featuring the Latest Thermal Viewer, Anomoly detection equipment, improved long range radios, 2 Plane stabilization, and a Coincidence Range Finder."
"The 90mm L40 Main gun was always the sticking point of the Jackal. The Initial APDS round proved of marginal effectiveness against contemporary armor, Eventually suplimented with a more effective HEATFS Round, capable of frontal defeat of older Tank models. In practice, only a third of the tanks 53 round ammo load would be Anti-tank, the rest would mainly be the KE 41 HE shell, and a small number of the KS 36 Canister Round. With HEAT shells becoming more common, the KS36 would be phased out and larger numbers of HEAT would be carried compared to HE."
