This story was inspired by a roleplay with my good friend,
spirityouth. My roleplaying skills have been stagnating for a while now, and I had an incredibly refreshing session with him. I decided to play the unsure prey, contrary to my usual jumping-in-people's-throats way of going about things. (I know, it's a sign of the apocalypse D:) I've realized that throwing myself at people is just lame, and doesn't get me anywhere. I'm used to missing out because I don't speak up, so I kinda took things to the polar opposite and started jumping at what I wanted, which just comes off as being desperate. I've decided enough of that. Somewhere between works better.
Anywho... Yeah. I seriously enjoyed it, so I decided to craft a story out of it!

~So Much For the New Pet~
By: Shadecerule
Beast flopped onto the floor of the living room, laying his head down as he prepared himself for relaxation mode. The dog had had an arduous day of wandering aimlessly about the house and begging for scraps of food, not to mention the brief excitement of the new pet ealier in the day. His owner, Digi, had brought home a black cat with curious blue markings, which Beast had to properly sniff and bark at before he could go back to the ceaseless task of being a giant, lazy dog. The canine laid his head down and let his tongue loll out, closing his eyes for a well-deserved nap.
This was not meant to be, though - for crouching in the shadows lay a particularly sneaky cat. Shadow was his name, and rightly so; many a bug and lively dust ball had fallen victim to his ninja-like pounces from the darkness. He was crafty and lithe, contrary to the large dog he was about to execute his antics on. The cat's face squinted into a devious smile as he lowered to the ground, readying himself like a spring ready to snap.
Beast had hardly closed his eyes before a sudden, fluffy weight landed on his gut. He yelped out in surprise, flinging his head up to see what had fallen from the sky. His eyes fell onto the new pet, this knowledge making them roll as he laid his head back down, releasing an indignant groan. "Rrrrf, cat..."
Shadow began to knead into the fat gut he was now laying on, grinning slyly. "Mrowww, lazy bum!"
The dog grunted as he began to pant, the tummy rubs washing away any annoyance at the surprise attack. He tried pawing at the feline, but had no luck reaching over his rotund stomach. "I'm too fat."
The small kitty giggled. "But it's the best kind of fat! It's fun to bounce on." The black puffball proceeded to give an example of this, making Beast groan again and roll over.
Beast began hearing muffled sounds and felt squirming beneath him, and suddenly realized that he had rolled onto the cat. He scrambled up before the little creature could suffocate. Don't want to squish the new pet, he thought, imagining his owner's look of disapproval at coming home to find his shiny new cat flattened. He'd left for the grocery store not long ago, and had told the two to get along while he was away.
Shadow stood up and shook his fur out, giving a few sharp sniffs as he wrinkled his nose to flick his whiskers back out. "Geez... You're one heavy doggy."
Beast plopped back down, giving a low, growling whine as he nosed at his belly. "I told you, I eat too much."
Never one to hold grudges, Shadow affectionately rubbed himself against Beast in the way cats tend to, his tail curling around the canine's muzzle as it brushed past. "N'awww, I think you eat the purrrrfect amount!"
A loud sneeze errupted from the dog, followed by a sniffle. "Maybe."
Smiling, Shadow pawed at the lazing gut. "Perhaps you need even more food," he playfully remarked.
"Y-y'think?" Beast licked his chops as his ears perked. "Well, I am feeling a bit peckish."
Shadow chuckled and sat himself before the great dog, his tail flicking idly behind him. "If you're peckish, that means your belly needs filling!"
"I guess so!" Beast grinned widely, poking at his gut. "This thing always need filling. But what to eat?" He looked around, despite not expecting to find anything in the living room.
The cat peered around as well, but as expected, the living room yielded no source of food. "Hmm, I don't see anything tasty around here."
Excited by the prospect of food, Beast sat up and started to nose at the tiny kitty below him. "Well, do you have any ideas?"
"I dunno, but there has to be something in this house." Shadow playfully batted the dog's nose away.
Now that his face was close to the cat, he had the chance to sniff at him some more. He came upon a realization that he had missed when his owner initially brought the fuzzball home: the scent was actually quite pleasing. "Hey, are you wearing perfume or something? Or...something?"
Shadow shook his head, looking a little confused, "No, why do you ask?"
"I dunno," said Beast, "You smell good, is all." A bit of drool leaked from the dog's lips, the sudden idea of eating the small cat crossing his mind.
This glob of drool just so happened to land on the head of said cat, who instantly blushed and shook it off. "You got drool on me!"
"Oops, sorry," Beast said absentmindedly, paying more attention to thoughts that made him drool even more. Tasty kitties were practically dancing around in his head, begging him to eat them.
"Heyyy...!" Shadow wiped off the second round of the gooey substance as it drizzled onto his fur. He wasn't very pleased at the shower he was receiving.
Snapping back to attention, Beast shook his mind of the enchroaching desires to devour the cat. Don't want to eat the new pet, either. At least, not yet... He knew that Digi probably waned to spend at least some time playing with his new kitty. Though, he certainly couldn't blame Beast if his cat disappeared someday in the future. He was a hungry dog, after all, and hungry dogs need food.
"You had better clean this off!" exclaimed Shadow with a pout, indicating his slobbery head.
"Okay, sorry! Jeez." Beast leaned down to slurp between the cat's ears, secretly using this as a chance to sample Shadow's flavor. I can't eat him, but a taste won't hurt...
However, this had the opposite effect of what Shadow wanted. The dog's thick, greasy tongue only managed to spill more saliva onto the cat, the goo now sliding down his neck and over his shoulders. "H-hey, that's only making it worse!"
Mmm... Tastes good. The large canine pawed at Shadow's head, attempting to wipe the drool off as he tried to get his mind off the lingering taste, but he wasn't doing a very good job at either. "Well, what am I supposed to do?" Beast complained, "Why can't you clean it off yourself?"
"I'm all wet, now!" Shadow waved a slimy paw at the dog before trying to shake his fur again. It was no use, though. The slobber stuck.
"Don't you have an anthro form or something? Wouldn't it be easier to clean off in that?" Beast knew that Shadow was one of those furry things he'd heard about before; he could smell it on him. It made him wonder if his owner knew, though he wouldn't be surprised. Humans had some crazy fetishes, and it wouldn't even startle him if Digi actually wanted him to eat this new cat. Of course, Beast would be biased upon discovering that, as wriggling food was often the best and he wouldn't deny a meal. But all the same.
This suggestion lit Shadow's eyes up. "I do, actually! Figures that you could tell." With that, the small feline suddenly grew much larger, his form taking on a humanoid appearance. Beast yelped out in surprise at the sudden change, backing up onto his haunches as he stared at the cat who was now heading over to the couch. The cat picked up a towel from a pile of clean laundry their owner had left there and began to wipe himself off. "There! All better."
"Wow... I was just assuming you weren't just feral, but I've never seen this change before," Beast walked up to the cat and sniffed at him curiously. "Interesting..."
Shadow grinned at the dog, whose large size still made him taller than the five-and-a-half foot feline, and scratched behind his ears. "Seems you like it, though."
The collosal canine nodded and shut his eyes in bliss, overcome by the power of scritching. "Ohhhh... That feels so good." Beast flopped down and rolled over, the cat taking the hint as he moved down to rub at the big belly. Now that his paws were a bit larger, his kneading massages delivered more pleasure than when he was a tiny cat.
"Good boyyy!" Shadow cooed as Beast's eyes rolled back, the cat really working his paws into the pudgy gut. He scritched around the dog's navel, making the dog's leg kick sporadically as a moaning groan arose from Beast's muzzle. A michievous grin spread over the cat's face; he knew the big doggy wanted him to both stop and go on forever at the same time, giving him all the more pleasure in his teasings.
Beast panted heavily as his tongue lolled out as the cat kneaded into his this fat, a decent puddle of drool collecting beneath his maw. This pleasure didn't last much longer, though, as his belly let out a loud grumbling gurgle. "Oh, I forgot," he whined, "I'm hungry."
Shadow chuckled and stood, rubbing over the dog's head. "Well, then! Let's go get you something to eat." Beast got up as well, making the kitty stare at his absolutely massive size. Upon arrival, the cat had marvelled at the dog's sheer and utter hugeness. Now, even at the height of a human, the cat couldn't help but admire the hefty Beast. The amount of food this dog ate had to cost a fortune.
"Where should we look?" Beast asked, "You said there was nothing around."
"Well, this is the living room, silly! I'm sure there's something in the kitchen." Shadow chuckled and stroked the side of Beast's muzzle. "You're a big dog and it'll take a lot to feed you, but it's a start." The feline turned on his heels and started off towards the kitchen, the hungry Beast padding along behind him with expectant belly grumbles.
"I hope we find something soon... I'm starving."
"I'm sure we'll find something." Howver, Shadow wasn't so sure once he got to the kitchen. He began opening cupboads and cabinets, each one so far being void of sustenance. It was no wonder that their owner was still gone; he had to restock the whole house.
Soon, there was only one place left to check: the fridge. Shadow opened it to reveal its contents. "Ah! Here we are."
Beast crowded up behind him, trying to nose his way in to see. "What? What is it?" he asked with wide eyes, already slurping at his chops.
Shadow craddled the contents in his arms and bumped the door with his hip to close it. He layed them all out on the counter to observe his find. "Looks like a bunch of leftover hamburger patties and sausage, a block of sliced cheese, and a package of lunch meat!"
Beast barked excitedly, shifting his weight to his rear as he sat down. His heavy tail swished against the floor, thumping into the counter and nearly shaking some of the contents off of it. "Awesome! I thought I was going to die of hunger." He opened his maw nice and wide, ahh-ing at the cat as a sign to start tossing food in.
Chuckling at the exaggeration, Shadow took the patties and shoved all five of them into Beast's gaping jaws. The patties easily fit into the dog's slimy mouth. "Here you go!"
The ravenous canine choked momentarily before happily chewing them up, some of the meat spilling messily onto the kitchen floor. With a resounding gulp, he sent all the food bulging down his throat. Shadow watched with growing affection as the canine cleaned up the scraps from the floor before he opened back up. "More!"
"As you wish," Shadow said as he chucked the sausages in the air one by one, letting the dog snatch them up. Beast practically swallowed them whole, lifting his head up with each gulp so that the feline had a clear sight of the lumps as they travelled down his throat. The cat stared, the show enticing him for some strange reason. He blushed as he caught himself, quickly unwrapping the cheese.
With the reopening of those sloppy jaws, the cat began to toss the cheese a few slices at a time. He playfully landed a few pieces on the dog's nose, but the dog had no trouble slurping them off with his long, thick tongue. In a matter of minutes the block had been polished off. The package of meat was all that remained. Beast masticated what remained of the sticky, gooey cheese, making sure to get down all of the chewy substance. Shadow found himself mesmerized again by that ravenous, drooling cave that seemed like it could take an endless stream of food.
The feline managed to shake himself of this trance and grabbed the meat packed, but his eyes travelled back to Beast's panting maw as it opened again. Strands of drool fell onto that pillowy tongue, the back of the throat leading into squealching darkness. "Aaahhh..."
"O-One moment, boy." Shadow grinned bashfully and tried to open the packet, but it was proving resistant to his efforts. "Huh, it's not-" The packet burst open without warning. The meat fell onto the floor, but a good portion of the juices showered over the cat's chest. "Aww, I'm all wet again..."
The cat's mournful exclamation went unnoticed by Beast, whose only thought was on that of the tasty meat he was shovelling from the floor into his maw. He gulped abd let out a heavy sigh. "That was great... Hrmm? What happened to you?"
"Err, well, the packet kind of exploded everywhere, and now I have smelly meat juice all over my front." The cat sighed and shook his head, patting Beast between the ears. I can't stay dry today, can I?
"Ooooh, I see. Here, I'll get it!" The big dog smiled broadly as he began lapping at Shadow's chest with his warm, slimy tongue. The cat blushed deeply as the thick appendage slathered up his torso, enjoying the feeling considerably more than before. Soon all of the uice was gone, replaced with gooey saliva.
"Thanks," Shadow said quietly, a soft purr rolling in his chest.
"S'no problem." Beast didn't stop, however. He kept dragging his wide tongue over the flavorful cat, now lost in tasting rather than cleaning. "Mmmm..." His belly rumbled again, clearly craving more food.
"Heh. Still peckish, big dog?" Shadow wasn't shocked at this, but it did surprise him that he was enjoying this tongue bath.
"I think so." Another tummy grumble came, elliciting a whimper as Beast wagged his tail. "Okay, yeah, I'm hungry."
"Well, that was all the food in the house." Shadow scritched behind the dog's ear apologetically. "And I don't know when Digi will be back with the groceries."
"Aww, hrmph." Beast started idly nibbling on the cat, not even realizing it. "Do you have any ideas?"
Shadow mewled softly as he let the dog chew on him a sudden thought rushing through his mind. He wondered what it would be like to submit himself to Beast's hunger. The cat tried to push the idea away so that he could gather a proper response. "Well, um... I-I dunno... What else is there?"
The hungry eyes of the canine looked over Shadow then, sizing him up. His tail began a rigorous wag, eyes gleaming with the same idea. "Well, dogs eat cats, right? I guess we could always try that!"
The cat's face took on an intense blush as if Beast plucked the thought straight from his head. Shadow tried looking away, but he found himself unable to veer his gaze from the wet lips of his canine friend. "I-I... Well, that's true..."
"Don't worry, I've done this loads of times," Beast stated plainly, Shadow feeling like the mystery of the dog's size had suddenly been solved. The great, big dog opened his maw nice and wide in front of the cat, panting into his face as the gullet widened. "See? All warm and slippery! You'll slide down easily."
"R-really?" Shadow was unable to stop stuttering, the ideas in his head and the possibilities before him making him both nervous and excited. He was practically shaking. His ears folded back as another wave of steamy breath washed over him, this in combination with the breathtaking sight sending more than just shivers down his spine. Shadow was frozen in thought, hesitating as he contemplated the dog's offer. Such a decision was hard to make and there were so many unknown variables. But Beast seemed so sure of himself...and after a few more moist, heavy breaths, the cat had his answer. He spoke up with nervous courage, knowing he couldn't change his mind once the words were out. "A-Alright... I'm yours."
Beast barked and wagged happily. "Yayyy! If you could just do me a favor and start climbing in, that'd be great." He sat back and opened wide with a grin, the bottom lip of his muzzle at Shadow's chin.
"Heh. You really are a lazy dog, huh?" Shadow grinned bashfully, gazing into that sloppy maw which was so much closer in a much different way. "Is it alright...if I look inside for a little bit longer?" he asked, a little embarrassed about his desire to do so.
"Sure." The dog chuckled lightly as his belly rumbled. "But don't take too long, or I might just start stuffing you down myself!"
Beast let out a thick belch then, Shadow purring in pleasure as his fur was splattered with greasy globs of drool. The sensation was greater than anything he would have imagined; the smell was just the same as the dog's breath, which wasn't unpleasant at all, with vague hints of food that had already taken the trip.
The dog blushed himself as he lapped under the chin of the cat, gleeful to have a meal that was so willing and delicious. Not many things tasted bad to Beast, but it was a real treat to eat something with quality flavor. He could tell just from the flavor that his snack took good care of himself and groomed well; this piece of food was sure to be plenty nutritious.
Shadow could do nothing else but stare into Beast's abyssal gullet, thick strands of drool dripping and webbing about the great maw. Beast had let his tongue hang out after wetting down the cat's neck, to allow for a better view of that slimy, pulsing tunnel. The feline shivered as each breath blasted over him. He thought about how Beast's maw was just so alluring, so warm, and ultimately perfect. He wanted in so badly, and yet, he couldn't tear his eyes away.
He didn't need to, though, as the fat dog whined and pressed his paws on the cat's back, making Shadow release a startled mewl. "Okay, time to go on the dog slide." Beast opened wider, lolling his tongue back out of his maw as he began to push Shadow's head between his slobbery lips, closer and closer to his slimy, squealching esophagus.
Beast's lazy tongue slurped over the tasty fur of the cat as it guided his head toward the back of the maw, leaving a thick, gooey trail of saliva wherever it touched; Shadow knew this made it so much easier for the him to slide in. The greedy dog suckled on the feline's head for a few moments, savoring the taste before groaning and taking the first, heavy swallow. His head lurched into Beast's loose gullet, his chest sliding onto the dog's wide tongue. The wet muscle curled beneath him as Beast slurped in earnest. "Mmmph..."
A sigh of deep pleasure arose from both cat and dog as Shadow was sloppily sucked deeper inside, the greasy tongue making quick work of slathering him up for the trip down. Beast was enjoying the taste of his delicious meal, but he also needed to fill his gut, and his stomach couldn't be denied. So, he took a deep gulp and pulled his snack up to its waist, the cat's tail now tickling his muzzle. His tongue undulated beneath the kitty as he giggled, despite having his meal currently sliding down his throat.
Shadow was squirming in bliss, his movements feeling like a wonderful massage to the big dog. Deep purrs aided this effect and made the canine groan even more as he downed his meal. Shadow was just another morsel now, about to travel the same path as all of Beast's previous meals. It was warm and cozy inside, and the wetness didn't even phase him - he actually enjoyed it. He felt safe, somehow knowing that Beast knew what he was doing and wouldn't let harm come to him, despite how he was just another slice of meat. The dog's once unsure snack was now a full-fledged meal. "That's right, boy... Put your food where it belongs."
The giant dog proceeded to do just that. He tipped his head back as Shadow's thighs slid into his maw, swallowing ravenously as he felt his meal squirm deeper inside. He could feel the tasty cat's head nuzzle into the entrance to his steamy gut, which gurgled and squealched as it expanded to allow more inside. Beast made sure to slurp and slobber all over Shadow's legs, preparing them as the final part of his dinner.
Beast closed his lips around the cat's paws and slurped in the tail like a noodle. He sat like that for a moment, rolling them around in his maw and enjoying the sensation of having a meal squirming in his gullet. Then, it came: the final swallow. He gulped nice and slow to relish the moment. He felt Shadow slump into his belly, his hungry gut churning around the curled-up cat as he grinned. So much for not eating the new pet.
The slobbery concoction of food stuffs sloshed around inside, but Shadow enjoyed the slop as just another part of the fantastic experience he was having. He let out a soft mewl, so happy that he let this happen. "Purrrr... Are you full, now?"
"Oof..." The dog pet his tummy gently, licking his lips before answering. "I think so, yeah. I'm stuffed!"
A deep purr eminated from Beast's stomach, a clear sign of the cat's contentment. "I'm glad I could be so filling," Shadow said with a smile. He began kneading into the slimy flesh, now on the opposite side of where he was rubbing before.
"I am, too." Beast let out another loud, wet belch, slurping over his chops as he began to waddle off to bed. His dinner rocked his belly back and forth with each step. A minute later and he was laying down, his belly spilling out to the side as he panted and nuzzled into the soft pillows. "Mmm, so comfy..."
"Indeed it is..." Shadow snuggled into the soft and slimy folds of flesh, letting the soothing sounds of the gurgling belly carry him off into drowziness.
Beast was close to drifting off himself, having thoroughly enjoyed his meal. It wasn't often that he got to have a wriggling meal; his owner didn't usually bring home other animals because Beast would always end up gobbling them down at some point, and they didn't want to stick around after that. He had a feeling that this particular cat was different, though. The thought of Digi keeping this pet made him growl softly in happiness.
The eyelids of the lazy dog drooped as he began to fall into a deep slumber, his bulging gut churning around its purring contents. His mind began to wash away from consciousness as sleep began to take hold.
Rrrf... Maybe I can have Digi for dessert once he gets home...
