This one was based on Peacock Mantis Shrimp colors, and also includes an attempt to put in the "gill fringes" that anomalocaris had along its body segments. I used a fringed yarn, but the end result is more "weird hair" and less "gill filaments" so probably not going to bother with it again, especially as it was a royal pain in the neck to do.
Still love the colors, though.
Also, the slightly more accurate compound eyes on this one were hand-made, via coloring the background on paper and then using a PVA glue to both seal it and attach glass cabuchons. Which means the eyes are a little fragile, but this is for me, not for kids to play with, so I don't mind!
