i tried doing pixels since i got bored doing it the usual way
I don't think I elaborated on this yet so
in my AU at the end of Sonic Heroes when Neo is defeated, Tails gets rid of his obey Robotnik programming and they let him make his own choices without him trying to kill Sonic (even tho he still dislikes him)
Cookie likes to be alone and drawing most of the time since his life as a Chaotix is exhausting.
Metal, still unsure of his place in the world at the moment, approaches Cookie outta mild curiosity.
Once the hyena notices him he's wary since he saw his Overlord form and knows he's dangerous but he also heard that he got an update. Since Cookie doesn't care about performing for the robot he just kinda ignored him for the most part and focused on his art.
Eventually, masking for everyone around him wears him down and one meeting he just starts yapping at Metal, who somewhat seems interested in listening. He doesn't have anything better to do anyway.
Cookie doesn't talk about any sensitive information, but since Metal can't really ruin Cookie's reputation by knowing how many crushes he has, he treats him like a personal diary. Both of them are alike in many ways so Cookie isn't afraid to yap about his morally gray thoughts. Their hate on Sonic is also a great conversation starter.
