Been working on some new refs for some of my human chars I've never drawn before, this is one of them. I am relatively new to both human art and rendering. I know I don't usually post, well anything tbh lmao, but especially not WIPs. But I'm just kinda wanting critique or opinions of this if anyone sees it and wants to offer it. This is WIP and will be for a while, this character has tattoos and I can't move forward until I have them designed. Hopefully this doesn't look too bad so far. I can't tell if it's too muddy or if the shading is right. Also ngl I got really lazy on the pants. If anyone has any opinions feel free to let me know.

I think I'm actually gonna go the opposite direction and smudge some of the abdominal muscles out, it'll fit my character better since his body fat % is supposed to be a bit higher and I think I just got carried away with shading haha. Thank you for the advice though, I will keep that in mind for the future if/when I do similar body types 🫡
