There were a few Lightbringers lying on the ground. One of them said “H-he was so fast… I didn’t even see him move!” This could only mean one thing. Fog was attacking our pack!
Fog is a Beta in the Darkscars, born from the Alphas of said pack. I’ve heard fables of how fast he was, some wolves even claiming he was faster than the speed of sound!

The one upside about this is that Fog usually attacks alone because he’s so overconfident. I might be able to take advantage of this.
“Where is he?” I asked Solar. Solar was hesitant to reply, but eventually answered “Just beyond the den. Be careful, you know how fast Fog is.” So I was right! It was Fog! Anyway, I went beyond the den to confront him.
I could see Fog in the distance.

He was facing away from the den, but then turned to glance at me. The next second, he was already in-my-face close to me.
“I thought I had the entire pack wiped out. Not that it matters, of course. I can smell the fact you’re the Omega.” He said.
“So? Just because I’m an Omega doesn’t mean I can’t put up a fight.” I responded.

“You’re right. After all, you DID escape the “prison”. The others were no match for me, as you may have seen. Hopefully, you’ll be different. This might be fun…” Fog said.
Whenever Fog says “This might be fun.” You know there’s no turning back.
Suddenly he ran behind me and said “BEHIND YOU…” But I’m not an idiot. This is how he knocks out other wolves. He runs behind them, says “BEHIND YOU” then the victim looks behind and he runs in front of them and knocks them unconscious.

Thinking I was gonna turn around, he then ran in front of me, but I scratched at part of his face before he could do the same.
“OUCH!!! Heheheh… you’re good… you really aren’t like those fools who fell for it. The first victim to not fall for it… I guess I won’t have to hold back anymore like I did for my last 12 victims… but I have more important matters to attend to. Next time, I will fight full force…” He said.

And he seemingly vanished, right before my eyes. He really is faster than the speed of sound. I wonder what the “important matters” he mentioned are… but no time to think about that now. I need to give Solar the info I was going to give!

There's something about villains that makes me enjoy writing them more than heroes, it's definitely noticeable here and in other chapters where the main villains are in the story. Fog was definitely one of my favorite villains to write for sure.
